Imagine running your own SEO-based website without the need for a programmer or webmaster. Installing a CMS allows you to login to your website and add content on the fly via a GUI (graphical User Interface). No HTML required. Better yet, once your site has a decent PageRank, you'll be able sell advertising in the form of text links, banner ads and/or site sponsorship.
A good example of would be my own Indian SEO Expert website, built by Xoops and number one on Google for "orange county SEO Expert". My ad revenues from this site are very pleasing, so even if your conversions aren't yet where you may hope them to be, at least you'll be able to capitalize on ad and/or affiliate revenue.
